San Jacinto County Courthouse and Square
The original San Jacinto county courthouse was a two-story wooden structure located in Old Town Coldspring which was destroyed by fire in 1915. Plans for the present courthouse were finalized in 1918.
The charming, historic Coldspring Courthouse Square is a step back in history. Most store structures around the square were built between 1916 and 1923 and continue the familiar architectural design from the old town which was destroyed by fire in 1915. The town square moved to its current located from Old Town Coldspring when the decision to move re-build the courthouse in its new location was made.
